Fees and Guidelines

I understand it may take up to 12 weeks for the Conservancy to process Land Bank transactions for all types of coverage or restoration credit. *

I understand it will take up to 16 weeks for the Conservancy to process Land Bank transactions for Existing Residential Units of Use, Potential Residential Units of Use, or Commercial Floor Area. *

I understand there is a $2,850 fee for this application: $350 for standard administrative costs plus a $2,500 fee for transactions requiring environmental review under under the California Environmental Quality Act. *

Applicant must submit final project plans to the City, El Dorado County, Placer County, and/or the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency (TRPA) before submitting this application. For faster service, please submit to the permitting agency and California Tahoe Conservancy on the same day.

The Conservancy will not release Development Rights (CFA, PRUUs, or ERUUs) until the TRPA has issued a conditional permit.

Note regarding projects requiring an environmental document If your project requires preparation of an environmental document—either by the Conservancy or another agency—approval by the Conservancy Board (Board action) is required. Board action is also required if an existing environmental document applies to the project. The Conservancy schedules Board meetings on an as needed basis, typically four times per year. For transactions requiring a CEQA document, the applicant shall pay a $2,500 fee, made payable to the California Tahoe Conservancy, in addition to the standard administrative transaction fee referenced above. The CEQA process is separate from, and does not include, the TRPA Environmental Checklist
