Estimating the Costs of Land Bank Purchases

Land coverage purchases

There are three costs associated with a land coverage purchase:

1. The cost of your coverage or credit purchase (to be paid later). To estimate your cost:

2. Your escrow fee: $750.

The cost of your coverage and your escrow fee will be due later and made payable to the title company.

3. Your administrative fees associated with your coverage purchase.

  • All projects incur a $350 administrative transaction fee.
  • Projects that require an environmental document incur a $2,500 in administrative fees in addition to the standard $350 project fee, for a total of $2,850.

These administrative fees are payable to the Conservancy along with your application. Mail your check to: California Tahoe Conservancy, Attention: Land Bank Program, 1061 Third Street, South Lake Tahoe, California 96150
