TRPA has rescheduled the Advisory Planning Commission (APC) public environmental scoping hearing on the Kings Beach Pier Reconstruction Project EIR/EIS from February 10 to April 13, 2016. Check the TRPA website one week prior to confirm the place and time for the public hearing. The TRPA and CEQA scoping periods have been extended to Friday, April 15, 2016.
In December 2015, California Department of Parks and Recreation (State Parks), in partnership with the California Tahoe Conservancy (Conservancy), initiated a revision to the Kings Beach State Recreation Area General Plan and proposed a pier reconstruction project at the site. Current planning efforts include gathering public comment and existing site data, and providing a comment opportunity on the appropriate scope of the environmental document.
